Even in our base model and first time home-buyer packages, several distinct features set a Wirtanen Home apart. To begin with, we draft our own home plans, so purchasing a plan online or hiring an architect may not be necessary. It’s also common to see hand-framed roof systems, vaulted ceilings, steeper roof pitches, dormers, enclosed soffits, paneling, authentic wood flooring, and open stairwells. After framing, we install energy efficient spray-foam insulation and an array of other energy efficient systems including tankless hotwater heaters, modulating furnaces, Heat Recover Ventilators, and more. All Wirtanen Homes are 5* Plus homes.
Other standard features include items such as a generator transfer switch, x-mas light outlets, and both gas and electric hook-ups for the range and dryer. Also included are upgraded flooring, upgraded paint choices and more.
The feature most often associated with a Wirtanen Home is the solid wood interior doors and interior trim. Because wood our trim products are kiln dried, machined, sanded, and finished at our own millwork shop, our interior trim packages are both unique and affordable. We often compliment our interiors with exposed beams and brackets, slate flooring, and other ammenities per our clients wishes.
