Addition/Remodel

This project was an addition and remodel to an existing structure which add over 2,500 sf of living space, and remodeled their existing kitchen and dining room hallway, pantry and bathroom.

$The full basement framed with radiant heat concrete floors. A new boiler system replaced the existing heat system. The \"half-light\" basement provided outside light to the main area.$

$The partition walls removed, the existing kitchen demo\'d and the new construction under way. The existing floor need to be taken up in places to run the new plumbing and electrical.$

$Splicing together new and existing structures can offer challenges with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and nearly every aspect of construction. Great care had to be taken to flush the existing floor height to the new floor. The gypcrete floor in the new area required that the new sub-floor be framed 1.5\" lower than the existing floor.$

$The large custom kitchen, built by Jon\'s Woodworking, is in the same location but now has another 10\' in depth for the much larger island and walking space.$
